About me
Kristina Sungarska
A lawyer, psychologist, and woman who believes that the path to change begins with understanding — of oneself, through others.
Kristina Sungarska — Psychologist, Sofia
My name is Kristina Sungarska, and I am a woman. Through years of self-discovery, I realized that two energies live within each of us — feminine and masculine — and the true art lies in balancing them.
My life path brought me face to face with failures, self-sabotage, and hardships, but also with lessons that taught me to accept myself and move forward with understanding and gratitude. Gradually, I unlocked my feminine nature and learned how to express it in harmony with my ambition and strength.
I share this because, through years of growth and self-awareness, I went through stages where I could also see the masculine energy within myself. I am not joking at all — I am simply sharing that these two inseparably connected energies exist and live within every one of us. Maintaining balance between these two natures is equal to art and a great achievement for the human spirit.
I saw how my strong ambition for being right, my lack of tact, and my bluntness were ruining all my relationships, because I did not understand the fundamental thing. I was born a woman, but my entire feminine nature was locked away behind nine doors, without me even realizing how and why.
And so, having become aware, I continued on the path with myself, seeking my wholeness, and at every step along the way, I made sure to say "Thank you." I am thankful to myself as well, because I never gave up searching for the root cause and I learned to accept my lessons with understanding.
Today, I share my experience to help people see their old patterns, become aware of them, and take the first step toward freedom and wholeness.
The path is not always easy, but every step is worth it.

My professional path began with an interest in criminal law after completing my legal education. My first encounter with the so-called "difficult age" was through a legal lens — through behavior and its consequences.
Over time, I realized that behind every action lies an experience, and behind every violation — an unmet or misunderstood need. This understanding led me to specialize in social and criminal psychology. My training deepened my perspective on the development of children and adolescents, and on the internal processes that often remain invisible behind external behavior.
In my work, I am guided by the principle that support is stronger than judgment. I believe that prevention begins with understanding, and lasting change — with connection and taking personal responsibility.
In my private practice, I work with children, adolescents, and adults, as well as with parents who seek to restore and strengthen their connection with one another. I support teenagers in the process of building identity and forming more mature relationships with the world, without harming themselves or others.
I also work in the area of addictions and risky behavior, viewing every difficulty in the context of the person's life history and experiences. I believe that when the underlying causes are understood, the possibility for a new choice emerges.
I also support people in relationships that have potential but face difficulties in communication and mutual understanding. Conflicts are often painful, but they can become a space for awareness, dialogue, and growth.
My accumulated experience in individual work naturally led me to the group format as well. The group creates a unique space where a person can see themselves through the eyes of others, explore their patterns of connection, and experience change not just as a personal process, but as a real encounter. I believe that the deepest understanding is born in genuine, live contact.

🤝 How can psychological support help?
This kind of help offers the opportunity to speak confidentially with a professional about what troubles you. Good psychologists establish collaborative, compassionate, and authentic relationships with their clients and make them feel heard and understood.
They also "help clients step back from the problem and understand what they are struggling with and why their life is not 'working' as well as it could."
💡 How do I know if I need help?
Negative emotions are a natural part of the human experience. But if you have tried various measures and your anxiety, sadness, or anger remains so intense that it affects important parts of your life, it may be time to seek therapy and/or a psychologist.
🌉 Connection
A person is alone until they choose to connect. When they manage to connect with life, they would not remain alone — they would feel life from every connection with everything alive that surrounds them.
Change begins with understanding. Understanding comes from connection. And connection happens when two people truly meet in an honest conversation.
